A warm and friendly atmosphere and incredible snowy conditions welcome you to the Blow-Me-Down X-Country Ski Club. There are 40km of groomed trails with warm up shelters and a main lodge. To reach the resort from the airport turn right onto the Trans-Canada Highway heading west towards Corner Brook. Some 25 km west of the township of Deer Lake take exit 11 from the TCH. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right and follow the road signs to the resort.
If arriving by air we strongly recommend that you book a rental car well in advance of arrival, particularly during peak season in summer and winter when demand for cars often exceeds supply. The resort is located approximately 15 minutes east of Corner Brook, the regional centre and is spread over a large area which makes a car an essential part of your holiday.
Humber Valley Resort is located in the heart of the Humber Valley on the west coast of Newfoundland, Canada's easternmost province.
The resort is nestled in a forest setting on the northern bank of Deer Lake and the Humber River just a minute from exit 11 off the Trans-Canada Highway which gives easy and direct access to both nearby Deer Lake Airport (20 Minutes) and the gulf ferry service from Port au Basques (21/2 hours).
My Humber Valley Chalet is located approximately 21/2 hours east of the Marine Atlantic gulf ferry terminal at Port au Basques.
Follow the Trans Canada Highway east past Corner Brook and leave the TCH at exit 11.
Follow the road signs to the Humber Valley Resort.

What are the payment options for booking a chalet?
Both Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
What is the minimum number of nights required to rent a chalet?
Two night minimum.
Are there house-keeping services available?
Yes, this service is available to all guests. There is a separate charge and adequate notice is required.
Is the restaurant open?
The Eagle’s Perch offers a relaxing lounge with a panoramic view of the Humber Valley. Open during the golf season.
When can guests check-in/checkout?
Check-in time is normally from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A flexible check-in time may be arranged in advance of your arrival depending on availability. Please discuss during the time of booking to match your travelling schedule. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
Is the spa open?
Yes, the Elements Wellness Spa is located at 1 Lakeside Drive, Humber Valley Resort. For reservations please call Karen Rowsell at 709- 686-5050.
When is the golf course open?
The golf course normally opens by mid-May to the end of October weather permitting. For reservations please call the Proshop at 709-686-2710.
What information do I provide the guard at the security gate?
You are required to give them the address as to where you will be staying at the resort. Your name should be on their approved list for your rental period.
Are snow clearing services provided?
Main thorough fares will be cleared of snow on a daily basis. Snow clearing on the driveways of each chalet will take place each morning after amounts liable to impede access occur overnight. Should you require additional snow clearing, we can make arrangements to assist your needs but extra charges will incur.
